Lauren has always had a love for sports. Growing up she participated on swim and soccer teams which only strengthened her love for exercise and community. Her love for health and wellness grew in high school when she made the conscious choice to go vegan, not only for her love of animals and the planet but ultimately for her health. Since age 15, Lauren has made her love for fitness her passion in life, working as a swim instructor for various health clubs. In 2019 Lauren took her first Pilates class and has never looked back! "I love Club Pilates because it reminds me of the sense of community I had when playing team sports when I was younger". Being an avid gym goer and enjoying high intensity exercise, Lauren credits all of her "Gym gains" to Pilates as it teaches you how to move your body in a safe and effective way. Without the functional movement taught in Pilates she believes she would have had more injuries, aches, and pains that usually come with higher intensity movements. In 2020 Lauren joined the Club Pilates Teacher Training program to spread her love for the practice. "I am so grateful to have found Pilates when I did, I have never felt stronger and more confident in my body. And it gives me so much hope for my future to continue the active lifestyle I love so much!" She hopes that through teaching she can help give back some of the confidence Pilates has given to her.
