After 30 years of lifestyle fitness from tap, jazz, ballet, swimming, and even roller skating in her youth to Yoga, kickboxing, spin, Barre and Orange Theory as an adult--she decided to further her education by studying and training to teach Pilates. Gabby uses Pilates to promote overall health, improve muscle tone and strength, and achieve better posture through a safe, yet creative experience. Gabby teaches groups or individuals in fitness programs proper form and safe methods on a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, Reformer, Springboard, Exo-Chair, hand weights, etc. She continues to attend educational conferences and takes additional training for Pilates as it relates to dancers, golfers and tennis players, scoliosis and other forms of rehabilitation. Gabby demonstrates modifications to fit the needs of particular students, such as senior citizens or pregnant women.
When asked why she chose to study Pilates she stated, “I have seen it help by preventing injury and rehabilitating so many different kinds of people and I want to be able to share that training with others. For me personally, it is going to keep me moving into my nineties, pain free.”
