Kate grew up in Memphis where she earned her B.A. in English at Ole Miss and later her M.A. in Journalism from the University of Memphis. She's worked in marketing in both corporate and agency settings. She loves writing both professionally and personally. She currently has a personal blog she uses to connect with people who experience depression and anxiety.
She really began her fitness journey in early 2016 and learned that it could help her overcome anxiety and have a more joyful outlook on life. Then she found Pilates. It helped her reshape her body like nothing else had as well as offer her relief from anxiety. She believes that Pilates is so much more than physical fitness. It's a way to learn awareness of the body and take that awareness into your everyday life to live better and more joyful and fulfilled.
She began teacher training in early 2017 and has since finished her 500 comprehensive instructor training. Some of her favorite classes to teach are Cardio Sculpt, CP Restore and CP Suspend!
When she's not teaching you can find her enjoying the outdoors with her dog Fitz, reading a good book or planning her next travel adventure!
