Raised in Fremont, CA, Kristy Dai graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and has been teaching Pilates for almost two years to both individual clients and small groups. She is currently a founding and active member of Re:Born Dance Interactive, a contemporary dance company based in Southern California and is represented by Go2Talent Agency located in Burbank. She was first introduced to Pilates after a knee injury from dance called for two months of physical therapy, and she incorporated the Pilates method to help supplement her recovery process. After graduating, Kristy went on to complete a 450-hour comprehensive certification through Studio Du Corps in Costa Mesa under the direction of Diane Diefenderfer and began teaching as a Pilates Instructor at Equinox Newport Beach shortly afterwards. As a professional dancer, her approach to Pilates stems from a deep understanding of movement and she truly believes that building strength, flexibility, and balance within the body is crucial to keep us healthy and thriving for years to come. Kristy is dedicated to inspiring healthy movement in a fun and enjoyable environment as she hopes to continue sharing her appreciation for Pilates as an instructor here at Club Pilates.
