Jennifer’s background started in athletics at a young age. She grew up playing tennis and volleyball. Continuing to play in high school, she received All-State honors in both sports. She then decided to continue her volleyball career in college, accepting a Division I volleyball scholarship. Her love for sports and competition lead her to begin running half marathons and marathons after college, and in 2001 she became an ACE certified personal trainer. After many years of jumping and running, the pounding began to take its toll on her body. Jennifer decided it was time to try Pilates and yoga. She was quickly hooked and decided to become an instructor. In 2004, she received her Pilates mat certification. She loved the core strength and rehabilitative benefits from Pilates. She taught several years in Boca Raton, FL at LA Fitness before moving to Franklin, TN where she taught Pilates, yoga and bootcamp classes at Westhaven for ten years. During that time, Jennifer continued to add to her certifications and received her 200 RYT from YogaFit, a TRX certification, a PiYo certification from Beach Body, megaformer certification through Lagree fitness, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and she became a Fitness Nutrition Specialist through ACE. Another move took her and her family back to FL, but in 2017 she returned to Nashville. Not long after, Jennifer decided to further her Pilates certification and become comprehensively certified through Club Pilates. Jennifer is excited to share her knowledge and love for Pilates. She has recently used Pilates to help with rehab after her own knee surgery, and she looks forward to helping many others through Pilates. Jennifer has two teenage children, and enjoys hiking with her husband and reading.
