Catherine is a Cal Poly grad and was a professional triathlete before shifting her focus to coach others. She has coaching certifications in USA Track and Field (Level 2), USA Triathlon and USA Cycling.
After 30+ years of athletics and fitness Catherine’s body could still operate but something was always hurting. A friend of hers suggested Pilates and she’s never looked back. She fell in love with Pilates because it is challenging and builds strength in a logical sequence yet has the unique ability to appeal to and help almost every person, no matter their age, size, shape, or experience.
With her combined passions of coaching and of talking Pilates, Catherine took the logical step of completing her Comprehensive Pilates Certification in 2021. Her coaching background can be seen in her Pilates classes. She looks to see who she is teaching, what they need, and caters her lesson plans accordingly. She is enthusiastic about teaching people how to best manage their own bodies so they can DO LIFE.
Outside of the studio you might catch Catherine running past you, see her in the ocean stand-up paddling, or find her at a local Mexican cantina.
