Jeni’s love for fitness and nutrition began in 2005 when she decided she needed a lifestyle change. She taught herself to feed, nourish and exercise her body and went to the gym daily for Pilates/yoga-fusion classes and cycling classes. After months of dedication she lost 60 pounds and never looked back. Fitness and nutrition became her way of life!
As a new mother to Ella in 2007 she received a gift certificate to try reformer Pilates and was instantly hooked. It challenged her mind and body differently from other exercises. She continued classes twice a week and after the birth of her second daughter Emma she committed to become a Pilates Instructor.
Jeni gained certification in 2015 through the Pilates Education Institute and she is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. She is certified in all Pilates apparatuses including mat, reformer, Cadillac, ladder barrel, TRX and her personal favorite the Exo Chair; which she loves because it is so small but can be used for a full body workout, and because it touches on all the areas of movement for the spine.
Outside of the studio you can find Jeni teaching cycling classes, running, biking, hiking or in the kitchen whipping up her favorite Paleo-friendly dishes. Jeni and her husband Dennis love watching their girls do what they love, so you’ll find them at dance studios or sports fields across the county.
Throughout her fitness and nutrition journey she’s had the mindset that you can wish for it, or you can work for it. We are all capable of more than we think!
