Julie graduated Cal Poly in 1995 with a Food Science degree. After graduating, moving away & then eventually moving back to SLO, she got ACE Certified. With that certification she did Personal Training, conducted Women’s Strength Training Workshops and taught group fitness classes such as Slide, Kickboxing & Group Power.
The first time she saw the Club Pilates Studio in SLO she was just drawn to it’s relaxed & inviting vibe. When she was first introduced to Pilates it seemed easy and light, but she was surprised to learn that when done correctly, Pilates is super challenging. She now loves Pilates for its attention to detail and purposeful body movement. This passion shows in her encouraging, inspiring & motivating teaching style.
Julie has been married to her high school sweetheart for 25 years and she enjoys running up & down Madonna mountain, playing tennis and eating tacos!
