The motivation behind my interest in Pilates is simple. As a medical professional, I have always had an interest in caring for others. Since I was 23, I have been a registered nurse, and currently work for UPMC in a specialty nursing capacity. I’ve always heard from some of my favorite patients, “Honey, don’t get old.” I intend to fight it every step of the way!
Being an active person all my life, I tried, like many of you through the years : aerobics at the gym, running, and weight training. When I found Pilates in 2018, the low impact and resistance training made me realize, this is what I was looking for all along, and I fell in love with it.
I am proud to say that with the extensive Club Pilates training, I am now a qualified Pilates teacher. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of Pilates and experience in movement with my students. My goal is to transition my career, while still being helpful, and being able to care for people. I will be able to help my students feel better; not only physically, but mentally as well.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children and grandchildren. I enjoy reading a good book, laughing with friends, walking my dog, gardening, and traveling, especially going to the beach at Siesta Key, Florida and to Sedona in Arizona.
