Anastasia was born and raised in Houston, TX and has used Pilates throughout her life as a teenager, adult and mother. As a teenager, she discovered how Pilates complimented her ballet training by increasing flexibility, long and lean muscle tone, core strength and control. After years of being in ballet, she unfortunately sustained a serious knee injury when landing from a jump, but she used her knowledge from teaching pilates combined with physical therapy to recover quickly. Then, once becoming a wife and mother of two children, she decided to advance her Pilates background by getting certified as a Balanced Body Comprehensive Instructor, which helped her further understand how to handle common injuries like sciatic nerve and back pain. Anastasia believes in the positive impact Pilates has provided her and wants to help people live the best life they can with Pilates.
