Alexandra was born and raised in San Diego. While she was first introduced to Pilates mat work during her training as a dancer, she began to fully appreciate Pilates after sustaining a chronic foot injury. The low-impact lengthening and strengthening benefits significantly helped her recovery, and this experience motivated her to become a Pilates instructor. Alexandra completed the 500-hour teacher training program through Club Pilates in July 2017 and has been teaching ever since.
Jacque completed her certification through Club Pilates. She specializes in private, semi-private and group reformer classes, while utilizing other apparatus including the springboard, Exo chair, jump-board, TRX, Barre, and Bosu. She is experienced in working with athletes, dancers, actors, pre and post-natal mothers, post-rehab clients, and clients with other postural issues. She challenges her clients, whatever their age, shape, or athletic ability to find the connectivity of mind and body through breath and awareness. When she is not teaching Pilates, she works as a professional actress on stage, film, and television. Making people laugh and feel comfortable is what she lives for! She also teaches indoor cycling, is an avid hiker, and loves hot yoga. Jacque hopes to inspire and guide clients to their health and fitness goals, while building their physical and mental strength and flexibility.
Marie instantaneously fell in love with Pilates when she tried a Reformer class when Club Pilates La Mesa first opened! Because Pilates was extremely beneficial for her ...right from the beginning, she decided to take the Teacher Training through Club Pilates in order to be able to share her new passion with as many people as possible. Marie was so eager to become an Instructor that she completed her 500-hour program within only a couple months! After teaching more than 5,000 hours, Marie still loves teaching group classes, and is always eager to share her knowledge with as many people as possible. She always wants to keep increasing her own knowledge and learning new things: she has extensive knowledge of group apparatus-based exercises as well as training men; she holds an Advance Education ‘Pilates for Injuries and Pathologies’ Certification through Body Arts and Science International (BASI); she has completed a course for Programming Pilates for Children and Teenagers through the Pilates Method Alliance, and followed an Athletic Reformer Training with Pilates Superstar Courtney Miller. Marie is a Master Trainer with Club Pilates, who helps with Continuing Education and Training the next generation of instructors. Marie LOVES teaching Pilates to EVERYbody, and you will notice it instantly! She will walk you through safe, challenging workouts in a fun yet professional manner. She is always happy to help you make every single exercise successful, and you will leave her class cheerful and feeling strong, ready for more Pilates!
Megan joined Club Pilates as a client in 2010. She was immediately hooked. She loved the mobility and increased flexibility she felt in her body. She shared her love of Pilates with her Mom who has suffered chronic hip problems. Her Mom felt relief from the hip pain for the first time in many years. Megan wanted to share this relief from pain, increased balance, strength and flexibility with everyone! She enrolled in teacher training in 2014 and has loved every minute of it! As the new owner of Club Pilates Bankers Hill she is honored to be able to help make Pilates accessible to everyone! Favorite Pilates exercise: supine arms! It makes me feel strong!
Jessica is from Granada Hills, California and began dancing at age 4, sparking a lifelong passion. She is a 2015 graduate of San Diego State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, as well as competing and performing as a member and captain of the San Diego State Dance Team. After college, Jessica taught dance in San Diego through a non-profit studio with a focus on physically and mentally challenged children and young adults. That experience taught her that we should not accept preconceived limitations about what any person can achieve. She first studied Pilates in college, but rediscovered the real healing and reconstructive benefits after becoming a Club Pilates member herself. This experience influenced her decision to become apart of the Club Pilates Teacher Training program. Recognizing that 20 plus years of dance takes its toll, Jessica is a firm believer in the restorative powers that Pilates has on the mind, body and soul as well as it’s ability to reshape one's body. She brings energy, patience, and a passion for Pilates to all her classes, while guiding clients to increased stamina, flexibility and feeling a sense of accomplishment.
Kelley began her Pilates journey about 4 years ago when her husband left for a long 7 month deployment. She was looking for a whole new exercise regimen that was fun, uplifting & challenging. A friend recommended Club Pilates & she fell in love on day one! Pilates became her happy place & an outlet that helped lower stress, anxiety & also made her the strongest, healthiest & happiest she has ever been. When a beloved instructor mentioned that Club Pilates hosts a comprehensive teacher training program, she put together a proposal to her husband that included giving up the secure career that she had for 10 plus years & committing herself to her passion project to become Pilates instructor. It is a dream come true for her to be able to do something she loves & she hopes to pass on the Pilates love to everyone who walks in the door.
Our Lead Instructor, Stevie Pacheco, has trained with Pilates as her workout foundation since 2013. With a constant passion for activity, she is involved in yoga, rock climbing, strength training, and all-terrain running. Pilates provides the knowledge and stabilization for proper form and attention to her body and core. Stevie believes Pilates is essential for protection in cross-training fitness and healthy movement for living life stronger. In addition, Pilates is incorporated for her personal moment of meditation, inspiration, and refueling. After having her two daughters, introducing Pilates into her exercise regimen allowed her body to return post-partum in strength and develop uniformly. She'd like to bring her personal experience to you inspiring peace, focus, and strength.
I was born and raised in san Diego County, I discovered Pilates in 2015 and have been beyond passionate about it ever since. I moved to the Bay Area in 2016, and enrolled in the Teacher Training program toward the end of my time there in April 2017 and moved back to San Diego shortly after in August. My passion has been steadily growing through the years, and now I'm overjoyed to have the ability to share my experiences with my clients and help them establish and flourish in their mindfulness and mind body connection.
