Jen began her Pilates journey in high school taking private lessons, she loved the benefits and challenges of Pilates, but didn't really enjoy the mellow vibe. When her parents opened Club Pilates Chandan Place, she loved the classes and couldn't believe how much fun it was in comparison to her previous Pilates experience! At that time, she wanted to become a Pilates instructor, so she received her 500 hour comprehensive training through Club Pilates in August of 2017, shortly after she acquired her Barre Above certification. She enjoys her time in the studio, seeing the members progress, and creating new ways to challenge them. Jen grew up in the Rockford area and currently lives in Belvidere with her husband Nick, their 5 year old son Drake, and 3 year old twin girls Kennedy & Sienna. She loves her part-time teaching career that allows her to spend a lot of time with her kids, and she's able to keep fitness and holistic health a priority in her life. She encourages you to try all of the classes we offer at Club Pilates Chandan Place and looks forward to seeing you in the studio!
Carol discovered Pilates over 20 years ago after giving birth to her seventh child. She used a Pilates mat workout video regularly in her workout regimen. Unfortunately at that time, working on a Reformer or Exo chair was not an option to most of the public. She went on to have five more children bringing the grand total to 12 (one for each Reformer 🙂 Carol believes practicing Pilates has given her a strong core as well as good form. Carol started her fitness training career by receiving her personal training certificate in 2014 and taught small group classes using a variety of equipment. When she came to Club Pilates as a client she was hooked on the equipment and finally got to workout on a Reformer! It was a natural next step to go through a 500-hour comprehensive teacher training program through Club Pilates in 2018, and she also has an ActivMotion Bar certificate. Carol loves hearing how Pilates benefits people both physically and mentally. She hopes to help people achieve their fitness goals by encouraging and challenging clients in their Pilates practice. Carol lives in Roscoe with her husband Pat of 33 years (whom she has known since the second grade and not only loves, but actually really likes.) They enjoy spending time with their children and four grandchildren who all live nearby. When she's not in the studio, Carol is happily busy at home.
Meet Candy Warner of Club Pilates Algonquin! Candy fell in love with Pilates in 2009 when she discovered how much it helped her chronic back pain and improved her posture. Candy has always encouraged others to try Pilates because she knew how much it could help them with their daily movement and alleviate pain. After a 2 year battle with undiagnosed Lyme disease, she had lost most of her strength and lived with daily chronic pain. Pilates was a huge part of her recovery. Candy loved the Pilates method so much that she decided to become comprehensively trained through Club Pilates in 2018. Candy firmly believes that anyone can benefit from adding Pilates into their fitness routine. Candy lives in Rockford with her husband and two sons. When she isn't teaching Pilates or doing hair, she enjoys time with her family, gardening, cooking, traveling and learning about holistic health.
Monique discovered apparatus based Pilates about 15 years ago, but unfortunately never found an outlet close enough to fulfill her curiosity. Throughout the years, taking care of a family became more of a priority, but she was able to carve out time for exercise by walking and doing at-home workout programs. When Club Pilates opened in the Rockford area, she finally had a chance to meet the Reformer and it was love at first sight! As she began to take classes at the studio, her love for Pilates began to grow. It was small changes that she began to see in her body that made her want to continue to learn, to the point of accepting the invitation to enroll in Club Pilate's Teacher Training Program and complete the 500-hour comprehensive training. She has also obtained an Activ-Motion certification. Monique believes Pilates is for everyBODY, and in her classes, she stresses the importance of progressing as an individual according to ones physical strengths and weakness. Monique finds joy in helping her students enjoy their Reformer workout, just as much as she enjoys hers, and can't wait to see you in class soon!
