Kari began practicing Pilates in the early nineties, after studying ballet and dance throughout her childhood. Through Pilates Kari began to experience the benefits of strengthening the body from the inside out. Her core began to become stronger and she found herself with more endurance and balance, being able to hold positions with much less effort. She knew then she was truly experiencing the benefits of Pilates. In 2009 Kari received her certification from Vitality Pilates in Seattle and began teaching in 2010. Her new found passion for Kiniseology and body mechanics was just beginning. Throughout her teaching career, she has independently studied various forms of human anatomy, attended several workshops, including a cadaver lab at Bastyr University, and has worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant helping people rehabilitate from chronic pain.
