Jodi has been a professional in the fitness industry for over 12 years. Prior, as a young adult, she loved dance and gymnastics, and found joy teaching children’s gymnastics where she grew up in Kingwood. She continued to teach in Austin, where she earned her BA at the University of Texas. After a successful career in the corporate world, she returned to the fitness world to do what she loved.
She came to Club Pilates as an experienced 500-hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, and experienced as a Mat Pilates Instructor. In addition to her 500-hr Comprehensive Pilates Certification and Master Trainer Certification through Club Pilates, she is also certified in Barre Above, TRX Suspension, and Functional Movement Training through Triggerpoint (Rocktape). She is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, NPCP (National Pilates Certification Program). Always a student and thirsty for learning, she has completed years of continued education in Pilates, to include Pilates Suspension Method (PSM), BOSU Pilates, Active Aging, Pelvic Floor, and multiple workshops targeting special populations, injuries, and anatomy as it relates to functional movement.
Jodi was diagnosed with Scoliosis at an early age, and has struggled in the past with her own pain and injury due to the muscle imbalances created over her lifetime. Every ‘body’ is unique, and she enjoys analyzing her client’s movement patterns in order to help them find a stronger and more balanced body through mindful movement. Whether teaching privates or group classes, she is rewarded
by connecting with every client, and ensuring they feel successful while having fun.
As a Master Trainer, she is committed to guiding and mentoring future teachers to find their own voice, while holding true to Pilates principles and maintaining its integrity.
