My love for teaching exercise started in a swimming pool when I was a college lifeguard. The woman I was teaching was 80 years old and learning to swim for the first time. Blessing others with movement and, as a result healthier bodies, is my joy. I’ve taught cardio and strength training for over 30 years and in 2008 became certified in Pilates mat and standing mat. In 2009 I studied equipment training and became certified by the Physical Mind Institute. In May of 2019 I earned a Masters in Sports Management and Administration from SNU where I was an adjunct professor in Kinesiology for 8 years. I am certified by NPCP, TRX, Barre Above, Trigger Point, and ACE, and am a Master Trainer with Club Pilates. I am married with a collection of 7 kids and 4 cats spread between Texas and Oklahoma. Someone once told me Pilates is like swimming on land. By using resistance, the entire range of motion of the body part is strengthened evenly. I love the balance and alignment that comes from doing Pilates, and how it blesses everyday movement in our lives.
