Laura is a NCPT® (Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher) and a Master Teacher for the Club Pilates organization. Laura has trained in both contemporary and classical Pilates formats, ensuring that she is well-versed in the full spectrum of Pilates disciplines. Laura's journey with fitness and health spans more than 20 years, starting as a competitive athlete and evolving into a fitness professional.
Pilates arrived in her life as a healing path from a knee injury she sustained while running competitively over ten years ago. Witnessing firsthand the transformative power of Pilates in rehabilitation and performance enhancement, Laura immersed herself in the study and daily practice of Pilates, bodywork, and functional movement. Today, she combines her personal journey with her extensive knowledge to help others achieve their own fitness milestones.
Laura taught at several Club Pilates studios in Northern California before moving to Utah. You can find her teaching at Club Pilates South Jordan and Club Pilates Lehi. Laura’s expertise extends beyond her work at Club Pilates. For over five years, she has successfully operated her own private Pilates and Fitness studio, catering to a diverse clientele that includes athletes, individuals recovering from injuries, and those with disabilities. Her personalized approach and deep understanding of the human body allow her to create tailored fitness and Pilates programs for people from all walks of life.
As a Master Teacher, Laura is committed to equipping her students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the world of Pilates instruction. Her teaching style goes beyond surface-level exercises, emphasizing a deep understanding of the "why" behind every movement choice. Laura's students emerge confident and well-prepared to teach in both group and private settings, armed with the tools to become sought-after Pilates teachers themselves.
Laura lives the ethos of a lifelong learner, continually expanding her knowledge in the science of human movement. In addition to her 500-hour Club Pilates Teacher Certification, she holds certifications as a NASM® (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Personal Trainer, NASM® Certified Nutrition Coach, TRX Certified, Trigger Point, FMT® Functional Movement Specialist, and Barre Above® Certified with Pilates Focus. Her expertise stretches over a wide range of specialties, including strengthening for runners, functional movement, athletic performance, injury rehabilitation, spinal issues, scoliosis, osteoporosis, and active aging.
