Rachel originates from the United Kingdom, where she initially trained and worked as a Registered Nurse in both emergency services and gastroenterology. After relocating to Canada in 2015 with 2 young daughters in to,w she decided to take her passion for Yoga further by undertaking the 200hr and then the 500hr teacher training certifications. After teaching Yoga for a few years alongside Pilates Instructors, she became even more inspired by movement and enrolled in Pilates training.
Rachel began her Pilates teaching career in a 1on1 clinical setting while also offering group classes. She subsequently started teaching at Club Pilates in 2019. Fast forward to today, she’s currently the Lead Instructor at Club Pilates Kelowna, and the proud owner of Club Pilates studios in Winnipeg with her husband!
Her professionalism, approachability and British sense of humour put students at ease whilst they empower themselves, learning client connection, problem solving, class programming, and preparing them to be confident within their own Pilates practice and becoming future teachers.
As a teacher trainer, Rachel guides her students through movement shapes, layering in body alignment, cueing techniques, explaining ‘the why’ of the exercise and Pilates principles - empowering them to feel fully confident and prepared to teach. She offers students a balance of body knowledge and awareness, and a sharp eye for detail, whilst using her love of descriptive cueing to create intentional movement. Rachel is grateful to be part of such a wonderful community andis hugely excited to teach and support each individual to become the next generation of Pilates Instructors.
