Meet Your Master Trainer!

Valerie Snowdon
Valerie fell in love with Pilates a few years ago after being diagnosed with stage 4 Endometriosis. While awaiting surgery, Dr. Leonardi at McMaster Hospital recommended Pilates to help strengthen her pelvic floor and manage the pain associated with the disease. The benefits were immediate, and Pilates quickly became an essential part of her lifestyle—supporting not only her physical health but also helping her become the best version of herself. After completing the 500-Hour Comprehensive Pilates Training at Club Pilates Waterloo, Valerie became the lead instructor across five Ontario locations: Waterloo, Glen Abbey, South Oakville, North Burlington, and North Waterloo. She is passionate about working with students in the Teacher Training program, guiding them one-on-one to build confidence, develop their teaching skills, and create a strong foundation of knowledge. Her focus is on helping future instructors feel equipped to offer modifications, progressions, and personalized support to meet the needs of every client.

Though her diagnosis brought unexpected challenges, Valerie is grateful that it ultimately led her to a deeply fulfilling career. She finds immense joy in seeing clients grow stronger, improve their flexibility, and enhance their overall mobility. As she often says, “Our bodies are our homes for life, and it’s vital that we care for and nourish them.”

Valerie is incredibly honoured to be a part of the Master Training team and play a role in shaping the next generation of instructors. She describes it as one of the most rewarding roles she’s ever had.
