Kim is comprehensively certified through Stott Pilates, has a Master's degree in Exercise Science from the University of New Hampshire, and has several other advanced certifications. Kim has been teaching fitness since 1993 and teaching Pilates since 1999. She has diverse teaching and education experience: She started successful Pilates programs at health clubs and retirement communities as well as owned her own studio for 10 years. She taught Kinesiology courses at the University of New Hampshire as an adjunct professor and taught CEC/CEU workshops for the American College of Sports Medicine and Fitness Education Network. She also worked in the Cardiac Rehab department at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH, and is a US Navy Veteran. At Club Pilates she was the Lead Instructor for a brand new studio and helped facilitate the grand opening, mentored instructors, and taught several instructors and member workshops. Kim learned about Pilates when she was in the Navy and has been practicing Pilates for herself on an almost daily basis for 25 years. She has used Pilates not only in (post)-rehabbing clients but also in rehabbing herself from injuries and genetic joint issues. She aims to educate and empower future instructors and hopes that her delivery will inspire them to be as passionate about sharing the Pilates method as she is.
