Jennifer Schwarz

Pilates Instructor
From a young age, Jennifer has has a passion for movement, wellness and the outdoors. Growing up in a small boarding school in Ojai, California, she immersed herself in horseback riding, running, and hiking. Later, while attending boarding school in Switzerland, she trained with a running team in the stunning Swiss Alps, further fueling her love for fitness and outdoor activities. Her passion for strength training blossomed in college, leading her to pursue weightlifting alongside her academic studies. After earning a master’s degree in psychology, she felt a growing desire to share her love of movement with others. This led her to become a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor in 2002. Around the same time, she embraced the transformative role of motherhood, raising three boys on a small farm on Bainbridge Island. The 2.5-acre homestead, nestled beside the Grand Forest, was home to a miniature horse, goats, chickens, and a thriving vegetable garden. While homeschooling her children, she remained committed to maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle, practicing weightlifting, yoga, and hiking. Now, as her sons begin to carve out their own paths, she has returned to her original passion—health, movement, and holistic wellness. With certifications in Hatha Yoga, Baptiste Yoga, 26-pose (formerly Bikram), and Yin Yoga, she is also completing her Comprehensive Pilates Instructor Certification. Living on Bainbridge for nearly 20 years, she continues to focus on the connection between body awareness, breath, and mindful living. She is excited to share her passion for movement and wellness with the community, inspiring others to embrace health and balance in their everyday lives.
