I joined Club pilates in January of 2019 after I learned how much it could help with my chronic back pain. I have always been an active person. I played numerous sports growing up and focused on volleyball in high school. Playing sports year around led to a lot of stress on my body which eventually led to a bulging disc that then caused the chronic back pain. Within just a few classes, I started to notice a difference with my pain decreasing along with better posture and more confidence to top it all off. I was instantly sold and have told everyone that would to listen to me about how great Pilates is. Then, in June of 2019, I had to have ankle surgery which required taking a break from pilates. I could not wait to get back into it and when my surgeon and I talked about post-op goals, taking a Pilates class was at the top of my list. At that point, I realized this was more than just a fun workout class I took multiple times a week. It was a passion. I love talking about what it can do for people physically and mentally and I was ready to do more than just talk about it. I wanted to be able to teach it and share my passion with others!
