My journey into teaching fitness classes began in 2005, encompassing a diverse range of teaching such as bootcamps, TRX, and yes, dance cardio. Transitioning to yoga instruction in 2014 marked a pivotal moment as it ignited my fascination with physiology and anatomy. Witnessing injuries within the yoga studio environment and after experiencing a series of injuries from competitive cycling, precision in movement became my primary fitness focus. The fusion of yoga and cross training introduced me to Pilates, a passion that grew from harmonizing breath-guided movements with an exploration of our inner anatomy and physiology. The result was a powerful approach to strength training, optimizing muscle engagement through mindful, precise movements. For me, Pilates represents a journey of creative movement, blending the aspects I cherish most about physical activity: mindfulness, accuracy, and effectiveness. As I pursue studies in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, I aspire to synergize these two modalities, offering individuals an integrative experience into their health.
