Stacey Uria

Movement Specialist
Meet Stacey Originally from New York City, Stacey has called Western North Carolina home for the past decade. She first discovered Pilates in NYC, studying classical Pilates before continuing her education through Club Pilates’ comprehensive training program and numerous workshops across the country. Drawn to Pilates for its unique blend of challenge, fun, and mindfulness, Stacey found that it helped her manage chronic back pain and later supported her recovery after having children. For Stacey, Pilates is not just about movement—it’s a practice of self-compassion and care. She has been teaching at Club Pilates since 2018, working with both group classes and private clients. Her goal is to help every client learn to trust and love their body, understanding that strength and mobility are lifelong journeys that evolve from day to day. She encourages students to meet themselves where they are and celebrate progress in all its forms. Stacey’s favorite part of teaching is connecting with people and witnessing the joy and empowerment they feel as they move on the reformer. She loves being part of the warm, supportive community at Club Pilates and seeing members discover the many ways Pilates can transform both body and mind. Outside the studio, Stacey brings her creativity to life as an actor, comedian, and LaZoom tour guide, performing regularly around Asheville. She’s also a proud mom who loves the balance Pilates brings to her busy and joy-filled life.
