Pilates found its way back into Janice's life in early 2022, when a friend invited her to take a Reformer class. What seemed like a brand-new experience sparked a memory—she’d unknowingly practiced Pilates for years as a young gymnast, using similar movements for conditioning on the spring floor. After an injury ended her gymnastics journey, she had no idea she’d one day rediscover that same mindful movement practice and fall in love with it all over again.
What Janice loves most about teaching at Club Pilates is the sense of community. “It’s incredible to be surrounded by like-minded people from all walks of life who are all here to move, grow, and feel better together,” she says.
When she’s not in the studio, you’ll find her snowboarding, backcountry skiing, hiking, mountain biking, or SCUBA diving—adventures that all benefit from the strength, balance, and breathwork Pilates provides. She practices Pilates and yoga daily to keep her body mobile and her mind grounded.
Outside of movement, Janice enjoys reading, painting, gaming, and puzzles. Fun fact: She and her husband got engaged underwater while diving in Cozumel!
