Ellen discovered Pilates in 2003 while preparing for a 60-mile Susan G. Komen walk. She had been experiencing extreme back pain and turned to Pilates to strengthen her back and core muscles. She experienced positive changes in the way she felt and looked almost immediately. Ellen is an artist, mother, avid traveler and for the past 20 years she has been a committed practitioner of Pilates. She decided to continue her growth in the last 2 years with over 625 class hours at Club Pilates, in addition to recently completing the 500-hour Teacher Training Program. She is certified in mat, reformer, springboard, Exo Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, TRX, Functional Standing movements and trigger point. Ellen feels the most rewarding part of her job is knowing how much better her clients feel mentally and physically from Pilates. “It truly makes my heart happy when I hear from clients who are of different body types and physical ability tell me how much stronger they feel, and how their posture and flexibility has significantly improved.” Ellen is excited to have finally made the transition into teaching Pilates and to have the ability to share her knowledge and passion with our Club Pilates community.
