Rocio P.
Certified Pilates Instructor
It all commenced during my childhood when I began taking dance lessons and promptly made my debut performing live on stage. As a kid, I was a member of the Nosotros Children's Acting Company, where we had to triple threat our live plays (acting, singing, and of course dance—tap, jazz, and modern). Subsequently, flamenco dance occupied the majority of my time after school, and forty years later, I continue to engage in either teaching or performing flamenco. But before that, I attended CSU-Long Beach, which has one of the top ten dance programs in the nation, and that is where I got my first degree. I was a cast member in Cirque Du Soleil where I trained in Montreal, Quebec. I have performed in theaters across the United States, Europe, South America, and Japan as a dancer on the ground and as an aerialist. Movement has always been a part of my life; therefore, taking care of the body we live in is important to me. My body has remained healthy thanks to my certifications in Pilates, Personal Training, and Yoga. I also have a Master of Fine Arts in Television, Film and Theatre, as well as a Master of Education. I am currently working on my doctorate degree. I love doing Pilates as well as teaching it because it does a body good.
