Instructor
Savannah Deaton, a native Memphian, is a 2008 graduate of
Rhodes College where she lettered 4 years in softball. At
Immaculate Conception High School she earned 11 varsity
sports letters, and finished salutatorian of her class. Already
appreciative of the importance of mind/body synergy, when
she encountered the philosophy and methods of Joseph
Pilates she was and instant convert. His emphasis on
flexibility, strength and stamina while focusing on core
posture muscles necessary for proper posture that facilitated
a body balanced with spinal alignment, allowed her to
overcome a chronic rotor cuff injury suffered in high school
sports. Savannah recently completed the 500-hour
comprehensive Club Pilates Education Program and is
certified in TRX and Barre Above. She is dedicated to
bringing enthusiasm to each class while catering to the skills
of each individual. When not in the gym Savannah is an avid
reader and can be found walking the Greenline with her
beloved Catahoula Sookie.
