Tamara was introduced to Pilates as a teenager while studying ballet. She loved the graceful coordinated movements of Pilates and Yoga and started teaching Yoga first. After returning to Vancouver from teaching in Central America she wanted to add more knowledge and expertise to her arsenal and went through comprehensive Pilates training. Tamara is now certified in Mat, Reformer, Chair, Cadillac and Ladder Barrel. She is also a trained Barre, Pre-Natal & Hatha Yoga instructor. She believes these styles of movement can bring more grace into our everyday lives by practicing mind-body connection, connecting to the deep abdominal muscles and improving posture. Tamara’s classes are a mix of contemporary and classical Pilates. She enjoys planning creative class flow while educating clients on proper form and movement principles.
