Taryn began teaching Pilates in 2009, after experiencing it as a valuable part of her cross-training as a ballet dancer, and desiring to share its potential to support healthy movement with others. She greatly enjoys offering uplifting Pilates classes focused on form and intention, with a holistic approach. In addition to teaching Pilates, she has been a ballet educator for over fifteen years, also working as a choreographer and coach for pre-professional ballet students.
Certifications & Qualifications
Comprehensively trained through STOTT Pilates and the Kane School, both completed in NYC; continuing education workshops including the Functional Anatomy for Movement & Injuries workshop at the Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York; American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum certified in Pre-Primary through Level 7 & Partnering; Master of Arts degree from NYU, in Dance Education with a focus in Ballet Pedagogy
