Lisa McCuistion
Balanced Body Certified Instructor
Lisa McCuistion is an educator who loves to learn. Teaching and Pilates are at the core of her personal and professional pursuits. Lisa earned her teaching degree at Western Oregon State and taught professionally in the classroom for five years. Family life then took priority.
Happily, at home in Oregon and Washington, raising two boys, Lisa and her late husband practiced Pilates as part of their regular morning routine. Over time Pilates became a passion. A relocation from Washington to Idaho coincided with an empty nest and Lisa set out to combine her passion for Pilates with her skill and experience as a teacher. Lisa now pairs a teaching degree with over 500 hours of Pilates education.
When not practicing, programing or teaching Pilates Lisa loves to spend quality time with her wonderful family and friends. She enjoys spending time with her two cats, walking, listening to music or podcasts, ballet, creative art projects, serving at church, riding her cruiser bike, water recreation, trips to the library, watching a good movie, and preparing nutritious meals and snacks. Pilates remains a key component of Lisa’s personal wellness plan. She has benefited greatly from this practice and finds joy in sharing Pilates with others in hopes of helping them to find more fluidity and ease in movement that can lead to a better quality of life.
