Serena's path to Pilates began like many others, with a recurring low back injury from everyday life (in her case, lifting a window AC unit). Always drawn to movement and adventure, she spent years bouldering, rock climbing, and exploring yoga. But nothing resonated quite like Pilates.
Fittingly, Serena's journey as an instructor began at Club Pilates in Minneapolis. After taking regular classes, she took the leap and enrolled in a comprehensive teacher training program.
Serena earned her 500-hour Comprehensive Teacher Training certification through Club Pilates under the guidance of Angela Herlofsky in 2024. She immediately began teaching at various Club Pilates locations, working with clients of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds—from athletes to complete beginners. Known for her keen eye for form and adaptability, Serena ensures that every body type can experience the benefits of Pilates. She continues to expand her expertise through ongoing education, including specialized training in TRX-integrated Pilates and neuroscience-driven movement techniques.
Beyond the studio, Serena enjoys reading with her cats, taking kickboxing and pole classes, and traveling the globe.
