I discovered Pilates in my twenties while training in modern dance. My dance professor incorporated mat Pilates exercises into our warm-ups for strengthening and dance conditioning. Though I always knew I was strong from my dance training, Pilates introduced me to a whole new level of strength. It deepened my understanding of functional body movement and made me fall in love with the method. In 2002, I studied and became certified with Jennifer Stacy, a second-generation teacher of the Romana classical Pilates method. I was all in, forever committed to being a Pilates student and sharing my love of movement with everyone.
I hope my teaching helps members feel better, move better, and live better. My goal is not only for them to become stronger and more mobile, but also to gain a deeper awareness of their bodies and carry themselves with confidence.
"Pilates is complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit." is my favorite Joseph Pilates quote as Pilates is for everybody! It’s more than just exercise; it’s a complete mind-body-spirit connection that benefits us physically, mentally, and more!
