Lauren R
Club Pilates Instructor
Lauren took an intro Pilates class in the fall of 2019 and immediately felt her abs engaged and promptly enrolled as a member. During a trip out west that year, she slipped off a wet log while crossing a raging creek. The power of Pilates gave her the strength in her core to lift herself safely out of the water. She also noticed the incidental benefits of improved balance, posture, and tone. At the encouragement of a fellow member, Lauren signed up to become an instructor with Club Pilates Master Trainer (Matthew Comer) in the summer of 2022. After 500+ hours and an apprenticeship at the studio, she earned her certification in May, 2023 and transformed into the "Obliquefier" from that day on. Lauren’s motto is “Teaching safe Pilates moves while making you laugh”.
Lauren has a B.A. from Drake University in advertising, English, and communication studies. In addition, she has a Master of Science in Communication (MSC) from Northwestern University. She spends her weekdays at Northwestern University working with alumni and donors in the Gift and Record Services department.
