Barbara has a strong personal focus on health and fitness. She completed her 500 hour Pilates training through Balance Body. She has been teaching for Club Pilates at various Connecticut locations since 2018. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, she is also trained and certified in Anusara Yoga, Bare Method, Yamuna Body Rolling, Aerial Yoga, TRX and is a Certified Health Coach through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She studied Ayurvedic lifestyle at the Himalayan Institute and Plant based nutrition with Dr. Colin Campbell at Cornell University.
Barbara believes that the key to a healthy active life is an exercise routine that focuses on proper set up and correct body alignment. Through the mind-body systems of Pilates and yoga one is able to improve balance, enhance coordination and strength, while sustaining safe movement to allow for improved health and well- being. Her classes bring an awareness to moving with breath to get the most out of your Pilates repertoire.
When not at the studio, Barbara loves to go paddle boarding, bike riding, shopping the theater and just hanging out with her cat. She hopes to see you at the studio soon.
