Betsy has had a long-time interest in health. In her twenties she earned a master’s degree and made the switch from a career in corporate communications/investor relations to a career in healthcare marketing and medical education. Currently, a full-time mom of (now teen) twins, her journey continues to unfold into exciting new opportunities!
In 2019, Betsy came to Club Pilates to help reconnect with her younger, vibrant self. Pilates was a natural fit for a total body/mind transformation to support Betsy’s love of biking, skiing and other outdoor activities. Instructor training was the next logical step.
For Mother’s Day, Betsy treated her 87 year-old mom (a yoga practitioner for 50+ years) to time in the private room. The “half hang” proved to be a great reward for her mom’s lower back issues. Betsy believes that Pilates is an exercise regimen that can work for any age and fitness level, and can only enhance one’s strength, endurance, balance, functionality and quality of life.
“I wish I knew about Pilates when I was younger for a strong core, better posture and bringing out inner confidence that is inherent in everyone. At my current stage, I am enjoying stronger muscles that support my joints and minimizes aches and allows me to continue my active life!”
Betsy enjoys seeing members walk out of the studio a little taller and with a spring in their step.
