Valerie Govea
Instructor
Valerie began her Pilates journey in 2014, just four months after welcoming her fourth baby. The results came quickly—she could immediately feel the work, often describing it as feeling like she was wearing “internal Spanx.” The movements felt good, effective, and empowering, and Pilates soon became her favorite class. She fell in love with the versatility of the equipment and the endless ways props can be used to keep movement functional, engaging, and fun.
Teaching Pilates allows Valerie to combine her passion for movement with her love of connecting with others. She finds it incredibly rewarding to support members and watch them grow stronger over time. Pilates became more than a workout—it became her life philosophy. She truly believes that health is wealth, and that practicing Pilates is essential for feeling strong, capable, and healthy at every stage of life. Her classes are functional, effective, and thoughtfully designed to help clients move better and feel their best.
Outside the studio, she has a huge soft spot for animals and has been fostering dogs for the past nine years. She currently shares her home with three dogs and two ferrets, and wouldn’t have it any other way.
