Megan Putnam is a native Californian, born in the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California. She loves the outdoors - especially skiing, rock climbing, and backpacking. Megan has an extensive movement background. As a child she was a dancer, singer, and actress. She studied ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and tap. She is a graduate of Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in drama and producing. While at NYU, Megan studied the Grotowski method, a physical movement based approach to acting. She took fun movement classes such as aikido, afro-haitian dance, and feldenkrais. After moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting and comedy, Megan began boxing and taking Pilates. She was drawn to Pilates because of the scientific approach to finding balance, and it is a fantastic way to train to stay strong for all of her passions. She fell in love with Pilates and decided to pursue it as a career. Megan brings precision to her teaching and is known to make a corny joke while teaching challenging classes full of modifications.
