Sonia has an extensive background in dance and performance with a passion for movement. Overuse injuries as a dancer became a common occurrence leading to her introduction to Pilates. Pilates was an essential key to manage not only her injuries, but also an autoimmune disease, two healthy pregnancies, and healing both mentally and physically through cancer. Sonia completed her Pilates Teacher certification from Orange Coast College with an integrated method of Physical Mind, Ron Fletcher, STOTT and BASI. Since 2003, she started teaching and has gained valuable experience working with members who have arthritis, post-surgery rehab, fibromyalgia, pre and post-natal, cancer, dancers and athletes. She joined the Club Pilates team as an instructor in 2019. Sonia is passionate about meeting her clients where they are and leading them on this health journey. What she loves most about teaching and training is the chance to inspire people's lives each and every day. With her passion for movement, creativity and a touch of fun, she creates a fresh unique class every time giving the client a complete whole-body workout. When she isn't teaching, you can find Sonia enjoying time with her family, her three pets, or one of her many crafty and artistic pastimes.
