Dale Irwin

Dale Irwin

Pilates Instructor
In 1992, Dale took her first Pilates lesson at a studio at 23 and Walnut Street in Philadelphia. After years of competitive running, her exhausted body responded to the gentle healing, improved strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance offered by Pilates classes. In 2003, Dale retired as a Director from Verizon Communications after a 38-year lucrative career. Throughout 2004, Dale certified in Pilates with both Physical Mind and IMX in Manhattan. She continued to study the needs of special populations through Balanced Body on Tour training. Certifying as a personal trainer with IDEA and ACE, Dale also completed a course with Aaron L. Matthes in Activated Isolated Stretching. In January of 2005, Dale opened Studio D Pilates. Offering classical Pilates for private lessons, duets, and group sessions. The studio also welcomed clients suffering from MS, Parkinson’s, Fibromyalgia, Scoliosis and Osteopenia. Dale’s undergraduate degree in Business Administration served her well in the corporate world, but she wanted to improve her knowledge of anatomy and physiology so she obtained a Holistic Health certificate from Drexel University, a Physical Aide certificate from MONTCO then transferred to Harcum for Physical Therapy Associate. Dale is an avid golfer and a fitness devotee. She continues her holistic studies as a member of the Montgomery County Homeopathic Group. Amid the pandemic restrictions in March of 2020, Dale closed her studio but continued to work out clients in their homes. She missed the excitement of a studio environment. Dale is so glad to be a part of the Club Pilates family and looks forward to working with all the members and instructors at Club Pilates.
