General Manager / Pilates Instructor
Olga Akgun has been teaching Pilates to both groups and individuals since 2013. In 2018, she founded her own boutique studio, Pilates Home, in Turkey, where she worked until relocating to Vancouver, Canada, in 2021. In 2016, Olga completed two years of the Lolita’s Legacy Pilates Program, founded and supervised by Pilates elder Lolita San Miguel. She is also certified in specialized areas addressing specific physical conditions, including scoliosis, multiple sclerosis (MS), hernias, joint pathologies, and pre- and post-natal Pilates. To deepen her expertise, she has attended international Pilates conferences—including one in the hometown of Joseph Pilates—and continues to actively participate in workshops worldwide. In 2025, Olga completed the Classical Bridge Program under the mentorship of Noam Gagnon, a direct student of Pilates elder Jay Grimes. Drawing from this rich lineage, she designs personalized Pilates programs that suit each client’s unique needs. Olga has worked with individuals of all ages, from children to seniors, and has extensive experience supporting clients with a wide range of clinical conditions. She is particularly skilled in working with pregnant clients, guided by her belief that there is a suitable Pilates program for everyone. What began as a personal journey toward wellbeing soon grew into a lifelong professional passion. Through Pilates, Olga discovered the transformative power of movement and the core principles established by Joseph Pilates: precision, discipline, and the harmony of body and mind. She takes pride in observing her clients’ progress and thoughtfully integrates the Pilates repertoire, philosophy, and principles into every session. Olga is deeply passionate about Pilates and looks forward to helping you improve your quality of life through mindful movement.
