Melissa DeRogatis has been immersed in the world of health and fitness since her pre-teen years. Thanks to Winsor Pilates, she fell in love with mat Pilates work as she was 'too young' to join a gym. She continued to use her Pilates practice to condition herself through 8 years of a variety of sports including cheerleading, where she sustained a spinal injury that led to her passion for apparatus work. Melissa then completed Balanced Body's Comprehensive Teacher Training Program and has spent the last 7 years of her life continuing to learn and practice the Pilates method, both classic and contemporary.

Least favorite exercise: Backstroke on the long box
Fun fact: Melissa loves the sport of Bodybuilding and has even taken 1st place, thanks to her Pilates core!
