Alessandra’s journey started in 2014 after injuring herself at the gym. After months of physical therapy, she continued to deal with a large amount of discomfort. Even getting in and out of the car was a feat. She tried everything for the pain; acupuncture, massage therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, water therapy but nothing seemed to work long term and the pain was still present. Finally a doctor recommended adding Pilates to her pain management plan and the rest is history!
For Alessandra, Pilates was the only physical activity after the injury that she could do without pain. After practicing for three months, her core was stronger, she became more flexible and her back did not hurt anymore! She could not believe the freedom and relief she felt from living again. A pain free life was what made Alessandra seek professional training as a Pilates instructor. She is Power Pilates and PMA certified, with over 600 hours of comprehensive training to attest for it.
