Shenese started her fitness journey in 2013 after losing over 120 pounds. To hold herself accountable, she equipped herself with the knowledge and tools to maintain long-term weight loss by becoming a fitness instructor. She teaches barre and stretching classes at several Houston & Bellaire studios. After winning a scholarship for Pilates training in 2019, she fell in love with the format and has pursued continuing education and training in the various equipment certifications. Passionate about inspiring, uplifting, and motivating through education, Shenese celebrates active aging with excitement and grace! At 53 years young, she promotes body positivity, self-care, and daily purposeful movement. She holds certifications in Stott Pilates, Barre Intensity, Barre Above, ACSM Group Fitness Instructor, NASM Health Coach, Active Aging Specialist, and NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialization. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys spending time designing & sewing, gardening, or at wine bars with her husband. She’s a proud boy mom of 3 young men ages 35, 31, and 28.
