Ivy was born and raised in Peru and moved to the US in 2002. She has been active all her life with traditional, high-impact activities such as running and gym aerobics. As she continued doing these activities, she started having pain in her joints. Seeking alternative ways to stay active and fit, Ivy discovered Pilates and fell in love with the low impact style. She appreciates the muscle focus, flexibility, and balance that Pilates offers. The transformation of her body and mind were life changing.
After seeing how Pilates was able to change her life for the better, Ivy decided to become and instructor by taking the 500-hour Club Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training program. As an instructor, she wants to bring out the best in each person and help them reach their full potential. She appreciates the Pilates method and believes that she can help anyone discover Pilates to improve mentally and physically.
