Emily Jekabsons

Instructor

I grew up in Crystal River, FL and moved to Jacksonville in 2020. My original plan was to go to UNF and eventually become a labor and delivery nurse. Fast forward 2 years into college and I found Club Pilates through a friend who recommended I apply for an available position at the front desk. I had no idea what Pilates was but fell in love with it almost instantly (as do many!). I quickly realized that going to school to become a nurse was not my passion and what I really wanted to do was connect with people on a personal level through this kind of mind-body connection. When I'm not at the studio I love playing guitar, tanning at the beach, hanging with my cat Peanut, or playing some kind of sport like pickle ball or golf. My goal for my classes is to create a fun and upbeat environment while providing an effective workout. I'm stoked to get to know every one of you! See you in class!
