BACKGROUND/BIOTRAINING PHILOSOPHY: I believe a person’s fitness program is an integral part in developing a healthy and happy lifestyle. Through my years of experience as an exercise instructor, I have truly enjoyed assisting my clients in reaching their own personal goals while providing them with a fun, challenging, and enjoyable training session.
EDUCATION: graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in housing design and consumer resource.
CERTIFICATIONS: over 500-hour Comprehensive Pilates training, International Sports Science Association-Certified Personal Trainer, American Council on Exercise & National Dance Exercise Instructors Training Association-Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Madd Dog & Reebok Certified Spin Instructor, Box Aerobic Certified.
After being diagnosed with RA and being told to stop all high impact exercises, I started my journey into Pilates.
Fitness has always been a part of my life. I couldn't imagine not being able to function without pain until I discovered Pilates. Pilates has been a rescue and relief to me both mentally and physically. I was amazed how Pilates changed my body and quickly realized how body awareness through Pilates changed my way of training.
I hope to help people in the same way I have benefitted personally from Pilates.
In my practice, I emphasize proper form, breathing and alignment to safely challenge my students while building proper techniques and bio mechanics for maximum performance and injury prevention.
HOBBIES: Golfing, talking walks, decorating and spending time with family
