Donetta became a fitness enthusiast after enlisting in the Army. It started with the required daily physical activities and evolved into something that she really enjoyed. Years after service she was introduced to mat Pilates via video. She incorporated Pilates into her regular workout routines. These routines included yoga, CrossFit, weight lifting, and running. Also, as a Whole Health Coach and therapist she would recommend the incorporation of Pilates and mindfulness activities as a way to better cope with chronic pain. In recent years a friend recommended reformer Pilates and Donetta fell in love. She participated in Pilates classes several times a week. While taking Pilates classes she became curious about the theory and science of the exercise. As a result she enrolled in an introductory classical mat training course. After Donetta completed that training she enrolled in the Club Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training Course. So, what started out as curiosity became an opportunity to help others through becoming a certified Pilates instructor.
