Meggan B
Pilates Instructor & General Manager
Meggan Breen graduated from IUPUI with a degree in Communication Studies and wanted to have a career that really helped people but was unsure where to start. Fitness has always been an integral part of Meggan's life, as she grew up playing in competitive sports such as volleyball, basketball and softball.
Meggan started doing Pilates in 2007 when it was introduced at a studio downtown by her house. She loved the way it made her feel afterwards as well as the way it transformed her body into having longer, leaner muscles. It wasn’t long before she realized this is what she wanted to do “when she grew up” and that she wanted to pursue certification in order to understand Joseph Pilates more and why he designed the system of exercises the way that he did. She decided to get certified through Balanced Body Pilates Reformer training and she hasn't looked back since.
Meggan was the Group Fitness and Spa Manager at Community Healthplex where she worked from 2008-2017. While there Meggan had the privilege of working with her first Parkinsons client who was a retired physician, and together they documented how Pilates Reformer helps slow down the progression of Parkinsons. Meggan continued to work with more and more clients who have Parkinsons and fell even more in love with helping others. Meggan's goals are to continue to research and help others who can benefit from adding Pilates to their exercise plan.
