Julie moved to California after spending the first 10 years of life her life in North Carolina. She has been in San Diego since 1996 and has loved every minute. She first heard of Pilates while in physical therapy, At first, she was too intimated to try it out. However, after spending years going to the gym, she knew she needed something different. Julie eventually took her first Pilates class and immediately fell in love.
While working at a job that made her unhappy she soon realized that Pilates made her feel as though had a euphoric state of mind. Julie says, “Leaving every class made me feel like I could handle anything in my path.” This is where she understood that, “physical fitness is the first requisite to happiness”- Joseph Pilates.
Julie has been Pilates certificated since 2013 and is continuing her journey to helping other people discover their passion. She started her position as Lead Trainer in 2015 with the help of her TRX, CPR, and Above Barre certifications. Julie is also certified by the PMA. When Julie isn't teaching you will find her running, napping, snowboarding, listening to rap music, or eating peanut butter.
