Carrie’s Pilates journey began over 10 years ago, when she was searching for a new method of exercise incorporating health to both mind and body. She found exactly what she was looking for in Pilates. Carrie is certified in Core Dynamics Pilates to teach through the advanced level in Mat Pilates and five pieces of Apparatus including Reformer, Chair, Cadillac/Trap Table, Ladder Barrel, and Spine Corrector. Carrie incorporates the six concepts of Pilates: breath, control, concentration, centering, precision, and flow into all of her lessons. Her philosophy is the belief that anyone can gain full benefits from Pilates despite fitness level, age, or limited mobility. Carrie teaches with passion, patience, and excitement in all of her classes. She has taught Pilates for over 10 years to people of all ages and fitness levels, including children, athletes, and dancers. She recently relocated to Michigan from the Chicagoland area to return to her Michigan roots after being out of state for several years. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master of Arts degree. She has been a college professor for over 14 years and continues to dedicate her time as an educator. In her free time, Carrie enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and exploring the beautiful outdoors. She truly hopes Pilates can bring to you the same joy, strength, flexibility, and overall health Pilates has brought into her life.
